viem is the TypeScript library that talks to Ethereum and its neighbors (Base, Optimism and hundreds more), and when all you need is to read, it does it with no wallet and no key. At Sapiens it checks the USDC top-up of the API on the chain before it turns into balance: it asks for the receipt, decodes the event through the ABI and hands back who sent, to whom and how much. It is light, typed end to end and uses the browser's native BigInt. MIT license, by wevm, the duo jxom and tmm.
